We started to share some activities with Ecosystem Partners for joint product innovation & development for selected initiatives.
There is lots of mutual enthusiasm about the tremendous opportunities, speed and savings this approach brings. 🙂
However, we are now facing interoperability hurdles as there obviously are different levels of digitalization. I guess this is part of the journey?
Interested to know if anyone encounters similar issues along the Ecosystem Value Chain? 🤔

We are now looking for ways to jointly manage operating model with selected Digital Ecosystem partners, rather than making internal process improvements.
Sort of value stream mapping to identify gaps & overlaps and address some disconnects along the value chain that now includes some partners.
Not obvious, however, to agree who controls which part of the value chain.
But we see significant benefits of integration within the ecosystem… 🤙

When coaching to build or participate in a Digital Ecosystem, cultural change is key!
While many stayed with their legacy approach, we managed to help some product managers and marketers to totally “switch” their mindsets. Miracles do happen! 😀

While working on a Digital Ecosystem, I am reviewing Exit Plan of an older, long term Joint Venture to possibly restructure or even dismantle the agreement (heavy stuff!!) 😕
Yes, there are risks that some clauses may create losses. But if both parties agree smoothly exiting or restructuring the JV it might provide much greater benefits for both in term of service specific value – flexibility – speed & agility
Legal and contract folks will have their decisive words
This may pave a way towards creating a portfolio of short term high-value digital ecosystem partnerships 😀
